The GolfBuddy WTX has a ton of features that can make it a valuable golfing partner. You’ll be able to track things like your distance to the hole, direction to the next shot, the number of strokes needed to complete the hole, and much more. In this GolfBuddy WTX golf watch review, we go over everything that it can do, plus take a look at how well it will hold up in real-life golfing conditions.

GolfBuddy WTX Golf Watch: Features

  • Bluetooth connectivity
  • Activity trackers
  • No fees and subscriptions are required.
  • Dual green distance indicators

GolfBuddy WTX Golf Watch

With the introduction of Bluetooth technology, Golf Buddy has finally entered the realm of golf gadgets that integrate Bluetooth. Utilizing the GolfBuddy Smartphone App is the best way to maximize the watch’s capabilities. You don’t have to be a tech nerd to participate. As far as staying connected and maximizing your round goes, it has more benefits than issues.

The use of a touch screen display eliminates the need for buttons and more buttons. From play modes to hazards, hole views, pin selection, shot distance, and time mode, everything is displayed on the full-color screen.

The watch features Golf Buddy’s Dynamic Green View with distances from your perspective for instant layouts.

GolfBuddy WTX Golf Watch: Design

  • Interchangeable outer screens
  • Lightweight

GolfBuddy WTX Golf Watch

Despite being slim and lightweight, the watch is comfortable to wear. Although it’s more of a manly and athletic-looking watch, it is by no means just for men! It’s also suitable for women if they find the Golf Buddy LD2 too blingy.

Despite the watch’s longer battery life, it has a downside. During our tests, we got about two rounds out of it before it died.

To make matters worse, charging consumes roughly half of the game’s time! Because of the color display and additional features the WTX has, we can see how it consumes battery power like a vampire. However, the benefits still make it worth it.

The verdict

The GolfBuddy WTX Smart Watch is a great wearable device that’s filled with tons of information at the touch of a finger. In terms of price, it’s cheaper than its competitors. The WTX is, without a doubt, of great value.

For those of you who don’t need all the extra perks to enjoy a round of golf, the GolfBuddy WT6 golf watch might be right up your alley. The device is simple yet capable of giving you the distances you need just as well as the WTX. The WTX is cheaper than this, too!

Bushnell, however, is known for providing excellent customer service. If you’re interested in getting one of their golf watches, the Bushnell ION2 is a superb and nifty little device, and it’s reasonably priced. Nevertheless, if you’re looking for the best of what they’ve got, the new Excel Golf Watch from 2017 has bulletproof accuracy and features that’ll get the job done and more!

This smartwatch has a lot of potential for the price. Even though the battery life is a downer, it shouldn’t be a problem if you play two rounds or fewer per day.
