I have been playing golf for the past 10 years. I am a Senior with some experience. My handicap is a 13 with a couple of good years back. I am looking for a driver that I can carry all the time and can really push the ball farther than my other irons. In my opinion, the Titleist 925D3 is a great driver, but if you’re after something more lightweight and forgiving, I have a few suggestions for you.

XXIO Prime 11 Driver

For many years, XXIO has had the title of “lightest driver on the market.” Their entire range is built around lightweight, forgiving drivers with ultra-light shafts for people who swing slowly. XXIO has found out how to produce the lightest drivers on the market while still providing an excellent feel and forgiveness for off-center hits.

Their most recent release is the XXIO Prime 11 driver. It’s the lightest driver they’ve ever made, as far as I can tell. Fortunately, all Wilson drivers are reasonably priced. They no longer spend much on advertising, and it appears that the savings have been passed on to the customers.

Cobra F-Max Airspeed Driver

Each year, Cobra releases a somewhat lighter driver aimed at the elderly market. Cobra’s F-Max Airspeed driver is the lightest Cobra has ever made (after shaving a few ounces off every year for five years). The Airspeed driver is only a few grams lighter than its predecessor (the F-Max Superlite driver).

Aside from its small weight, the F-Max Airspeed driver is one of the most forgiving drivers on the market. The Airspeed is available in two models: offset and no offset. If you’re new to golf and want a little more draw bias, the offset driver is the way to go.

As compared with the XXIO driver, this club head weighs one gram more. When it comes to creating more club head speed and hitting longer drives, the weight of the club head is the most critical factor.
